Conditions Treated

Temple’s nephrologists provide care for a range of kidney conditions, such as glomuleral disease, immunoglobulin A nephropathy, kidney failure, kidney infections, nephrotic syndrome, and polycystic kidney disease.

A Range of Treatment Options

Temple kidney disease specialists may recommend a number of treatments, depending on the severity of your disease. These include:

  • Lifestyle changes
  • Medications
  • Dialysis
  • Kidney transplant

In addition to having an inpatient dialysis facility on-site, Temple works closely with local outpatient dialysis centers, which allows you to receive treatment in the most convenient and comfortable setting for you.

We also partner with a peritoneal dialysis unit to offer this additional form of treatment. In peritoneal dialysis, the inside lining of the stomach acts as a natural filter. You may benefit from this alternative form of dialysis, although there are some people who cannot use it.
