Gerard Criner, MD, FACP, FACCP, Chair and Professor of Thoracic Medicine and Surgery at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, presented the first long-term follow-up data of the LIBERATE study for the Zephyr Endobronchial Valve, a minimally invasive treatment for severe emphysema, at the ERS 2024 Congress in Vienna, Austria. Medscape and Healio Pulmonology reported on the data, which showed Zephyr Valves have durable improvements in lung function with an acceptable safety profile five years out.
