What Are Fractures?
Fractures are common injuries to bones, most often as a result of sudden impact, trauma or accident. A fracture occurs when the bone breaks or cracks. Stress fractures are related to overuse and are seen prior to a full fracture occurring to the bone. FOOSH injuries — when you fall on an outstretched hand — can also cause fractures.
Fractures require immediate medical attention.
