A Research-Driven Center

Physicians in the Temple Neurosciences Center work closely with basic scientists from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, seeking to understand the causes of devastating diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, AIDS dementia, cerebral palsy, and pediatric and adult brain tumors. This collaboration between clinicians and scientists — particularly in the areas of neurodegeneration, neuroinfection, neuroinflammation and neurooncology — is designed to lead to better tests and more effective treatments.
